デュオで演奏する時にいつもやりたいと思っていて昨日も演奏したHenry ManciniのTwo For Tha Roadという曲があります。
この曲を作曲をしたHenry Manciniはマイフェイバリットコンポーザー五本指に入る作曲家です。
彼もこの自作の曲を大変気に入っていたらしく、このタイトルの映画の主人公のAudray HepburnがHenry Manciniに直々に作曲を頼んだそうです。
初めて聞いたのはPat MethenyとCharlie HadenのBeyond the Missouri Skyというとてつもなく美しいアルバムでした。
まさにデュオに打ってつけの曲です。
またデュオの際には演奏したいと思います。是非聴きにきてください☆

When I play as duo, I usually want to play particular song called Two for the Road.
Henry Mancini, who composes this song, is my best five-finger composer.
He also had loved this song. Audray Hepburn who is main actor of this movie asked direct to Henry Mancini make theme song.
It’s definitely good for duo performance.
I want to play this song again as duo performance. Please come by!
